D’ Palace Care Centre for Senior Citizen which is located at Bandar Baru Sri Klebang Ipoh, has facilities for both long-term in patient stays and short-term stays. Our care centre is fully operated by highly qualified professional registered staff nurses.
D ’Palace Care Centre for Senior Citizen also known for Teaching Based Care Centre where receives students for Clinical Practice from local University for Caregiver Training Courses.

Our Focus
D’ Palace Care Centre also focuses residents whom requires Palliative Care
with any type of cancer and non- cancer medical conditions. When residents and family opted for comfort measures as a treatment, D’ Palace Care Centre is ready to provide Palliative Care Nursing upon request. D’ Palace Care Centre for Senior Citizen ready to provide 24 hours Nursing Care regardless of time and day.
The centre also provides Terminal Care to cancer residents. D’ Palace Care Centre for Senior Citizen will continue to provide quality care to community.

Biodata
C. P Premalatha Chellapa has spent her entire career working in the nursing sector. She is a qualified nurse, who is registered with the Lembaga Jururawat Malaysia.
She has done her Diploma at Nursing in University of Science Malaysia (USM), Kubang Kerian followed by BSc (Hons) in Nursing at University Malaysia Sarawak (UNIMAS). She has an opportunity to pursue her Advanced Diploma specializing in Palliative Care at Nanyang Polytechnic (NYP), Singapore. Subsequently Ms. Prema obtained her Master in Educational Psychology from University of Science Malaysia (USM), Penang Island.
She joined Hospital Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (HUKM), Cheras as a Staff Nurse. She then joined Tan Tock Seng Hospital (Singapore), where she gained experience especially in palliative care, her job scope was to look after & care for geriatric patients, cancer patients, non cancer patients, medical and surgical cases, terminal cases and infectious cases(SARS, TB, HIV & AIDS, MRSA).
Her Job scope venture into teaching and nursing at KDU University (Penang) & SEGI College in (Penang). Some of the subjects she lectured are

- Pharmacology
- Psychology
- Medical Surgical Nursing
- Research & Nursing Management
The joy of teaching nursing involves the satisfaction imparting her knowledge to her students. Her students’ success depends on their critical thinking abilities, motivation for learning, and academic preparation and her competence as a nurse and educator. Based on this she was also appointed as an external examiner for OSCE and also an external moderator by the universities. Even though she was happy being an educator, her passion to serve the geriatric patients were strong.
She took a leap of faith and started her venture into nursing home. Her aim for D’ Palace Care Centre is to provide highest quality of care in a home like atmosphere, where all our residents are treated as individuals and receive a personalised care plan which is identified and adapted to specific needs.
